The idea of the creation of this body kit was born unexpectedly. While visiting a Japanese site Takakaira,
I saw a new body kit for the Subaru Impreza WRX of the last generation. The front bumper maintains the Subaru style with large fog lights, however the
designers at C-West added more symmetry to it, which is not characteristic of the Subaru's aggressive, but fat and "slow" designs. The original picture
wasn't very prominent in the quality department (you can see it at the right), but I already envisioned the Aerodeck in this body kit.
The main problem was finding the right photograph of my car. For example, when I made my first Photo-shopped body kit, I made
more than 40 photographs before I got the correct angle and projection Since then, I improved my technique and I only needed a simple photograph that
was similar to that of the Subaru. Finally, I found some of the first photographs that I made with the digital camera. These depict my car in front
of the apartment building I live in. The background choice was not particular since these were taken only to post the car pictures in
the 3geez.com forum. At that time I didn't know yet how rare the Aerodeck truly is in US and Canada.
Also the photograph was number 100 on my camera and was made in June 2001.

Once the photograph was found, I could begin my work.

The main complication in this project was the front bumper. It had to be slightly stretched, and slightly molded to match the lines of the car.
Here are the steps: 1) fitting of the bumper to the stock Accord dimensions 2) discoloration except for the fog lights, fitting to the wheel well
3) creation of the color mask 4) overlaying of the bumper on the color mask.

Furthermore, I removed the unnecessary extensions of the bumper on the hood, lights, and radiator grill. Then shadows were added. Steps:
1) exact fitting of the bumper, addition of the shadows 2) installation of the aluminum grilles 3) overlaying of the shadows on the aluminum grilles
4) overlaying of shadows from the light pole on the front and the building shadow on the side of the bumper.

Now that I finished the front bumper, I can start on the side skirt. After its elongation and fitting, I created the color mask, adjusted the contrast, and I was done.

Now comes the rear bumper. It had to be seriously fitted as well to match the car dimensions even though it isn't as noticeable as the front bumper.
After creating the color mask, I simply overlaid it on the car and raised the contrast. Even though it doesn't look ideal, it is still acceptable.

We are left with very little to do. Here I added window tinting, and a rear spoiler (from the 96-00 Civic):

Then I installed the wheels, painted the moldings to match the color of the car, and corrected the rear wheel arch:

Andvoila! How much more aggression and style was added! Compare the picture to the Subaru and you will find that on the Aerodeck the
kit gained more aggressiveness and speed and lost the rally look.

Don't forget to return to the top and compare the original to the finished product.
P.S. Big thanks for the help with translating this page goes to '89AccordLX(Rus)!
